There was already a letter to the editor in today's Courier declaring that it was torture that got us bin Laden and generally proclaiming the value of torture and chastising liberals for being too week-kneed to endorse it.
All of this without any proof whatsoever that the information that set the wheels in motion came about because of torture. And actually, most, if not all sources say that the info was obtained from traditional, non-enhanced interrogation techniques.
I believe that it is safe to say that torture is generally believed to be immoral, illegal and ineffective. But it does seem to maintain a loyal fan base.
At the risk of sounding unamerican, I just can't believe how blood-thirsty we are.
Eagerly endorsing the intentional infliction of pain on our enemies and fist-pumpingly proud over the death of a very evil man.
